About Dr. Cabral
Erik S. Cabral, MD FAAD FACMS is a Bay Area native with Stanford training and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Cabral is board certified in dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has over 50 scientific presentations, publications, and book chapters on reconstructive surgery and skin cancer. He was honored to be chosen as a finalist in the 2019 Iron Surgeon competition.
Dr. Cabral received his Bachelor’s in Human Biology with Honors Thesis from Stanford University. He studied abroad at Brasenose College, Oxford University and Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico and is fluent in Spanish.
After college, he completed 3 years of graduate training at the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases in Bethesda, Maryland and then returned to Stanford to complete his M.D. with an emphasis in skin cancer & melanoma research. His internship was at Valley Medical Center, a Stanford affiliated county hospital.
Subsequently, he completed a residency in dermatology at Stanford and then pursued a Mohs surgery, cutaneous oncology, and cosmetics fellowship with Dr. Richard G. Bennett at UCLA with an emphasis on reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Cabral has treated thousands of Mohs surgery and cosmetic patients in the Bay Area over the past 11 years. He is a fan of tennis, snowboarding, and golf. Dr. Cabral is a proud member of The Fountaingrove Club and The Olympic Club.
